Loaner Devices
Through Penn State Altoona's Digital Equity Initiative, students can borrow PC, Mac, and Chromebook laptops for short- or long-term use.

Short-term Loans: The Eiche Library offers laptops for a four-hour loan period and other audio and video equipment for varying time periods. Learn more on the Eiche Library site.
- Long-term Loans: Students who wish to borrow a laptop may have one loaned to them by visiting the Information Technology Service Desk, located in the Computer Center, 234 Hawthorn Building. There are PC, Mac, and Chromebook computers available to be checked out. The laptops include a standard set of programs, including Microsoft Office for PC and Mac. Students may borrow long-term equipment for up to a semester at a time.
Cloud Services
- Office 365 is Penn State’s email service. It also offers online versions of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and more.
- G Suite includes the following core set of apps: Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Hangouts Meet and Chats, Sites, and Jamboard.
- WebLabs allows you to connect to a Penn State lab computer from the convenience of a web browser. Access specialized software installed on lab computers remotely from anywhere.
Software
